1. Definitions

• "Oakpenny" refers to Oakpenny, operating from 138 Market Street, #25-01 CapitaGreen, Singapore 048946.
• "Service" refers to Oakpenny's financial education programmes and website.
• "User" or "Participant" refers to any person accessing our website or enrolled in a programme.
• "Programme" refers to any structured educational offering delivered by Oakpenny.
• "Content" refers to all materials, worksheets, reference packs, and other resources provided during programmes.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website or enrolling in a programme, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement. If you do not accept these Terms, please do not use our website or register for any programme.

3. Service Description

Oakpenny provides financial education programmes for Singapore residents. These programmes are educational in nature and do not constitute financial advice, investment advice, or any form of regulated financial service. Oakpenny does not hold a licence to provide financial advice under the Financial Advisers Act and is not a licensed financial adviser.

Programme availability is subject to scheduling, minimum enrolment requirements, and facilitator availability. Oakpenny reserves the right to reschedule or cancel sessions with reasonable notice.

4. Enrolment Terms

Enrolment is confirmed upon receipt of full payment and written confirmation from Oakpenny. Places are limited and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Oakpenny reserves the right to decline enrolment at its discretion.

Attendance

Participants are expected to attend all sessions. If a session must be missed, participants should notify Oakpenny in advance. Oakpenny will endeavour to provide catch-up materials where possible but cannot guarantee equivalent access to missed content.

Completion

A letter of completion is issued to participants who attend a minimum of 75% of scheduled sessions for their programme.

5. User Responsibilities

Participants agree to engage respectfully with facilitators and fellow participants, maintain confidentiality regarding personal financial information shared by others in sessions, not record sessions without express written consent from Oakpenny, and not reproduce or distribute programme materials without written permission.

6. Intellectual Property

All programme content, materials, worksheets, frameworks, and other resources created and provided by Oakpenny remain the intellectual property of Oakpenny. Participants are granted a personal, non-exclusive licence to use these materials for their own financial planning purposes. Commercial reproduction, distribution, or adaptation of any materials is prohibited without prior written consent.

7. Payment Terms

Programme fees are denominated in Singapore Dollars (SGD) and are payable in full prior to the start of the programme, unless an instalment arrangement has been agreed in writing. Payment methods accepted include bank transfer and major credit cards.

Cancellation and Refunds

• Cancellation more than 14 days before programme start: full refund less a SGD 50 administration fee
• Cancellation 7–14 days before programme start: 50% refund
• Cancellation less than 7 days before programme start: no refund
• Cancellation by Oakpenny: full refund of programme fees paid

Transfer to a future cohort (subject to availability) may be arranged in lieu of cancellation, at Oakpenny's discretion.

8. Disclaimers

Oakpenny's programmes are provided for educational purposes only. Nothing shared in our programmes, materials, or communications constitutes financial advice, legal advice, or any recommendation to purchase or sell any financial product or instrument. Participants should seek advice from a licensed financial adviser before making any financial decisions.

While Oakpenny takes care to ensure the accuracy of programme content, we cannot warrant that all information is current or complete at all times. Financial regulations and products change, and participants should verify current information independently.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Singapore law, Oakpenny's liability to participants is limited to the fees paid for the relevant programme. Oakpenny is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss arising from participation in our programmes or use of our materials. Oakpenny is not responsible for any financial decisions made by participants based on programme content.

10. Termination

Oakpenny reserves the right to remove a participant from a programme without refund if that participant behaves disruptively, breaches confidentiality, or otherwise acts in a manner inconsistent with the programme's collaborative environment. Participants may withdraw from a programme at any time subject to the cancellation and refund terms in Section 7.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter informally through direct communication. If informal resolution is not achieved within 30 days, disputes shall be referred to the Singapore Mediation Centre before any legal proceedings are commenced. The courts of Singapore shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any legal disputes arising from these Terms.

12. Changes to These Terms

Oakpenny may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of our website or participation in a programme after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. For significant changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify enrolled participants.
